HOLIDAY COUNTDOWN!!!

So, my holiday excitement can no longer be contained.... I'm going to Benidorm a week tomorrow with my gorgeous fiancé, and my amazing parents and all their 'crew'! Online check in is open tomorrow, holiday shopping is fully complete - I think - and I just can't wait to be chilling on the beach or sipping on a cocktail.

I think it's really cute how it's the first holiday abroad that Luke is going on, and I'm even more excited that he is sharing that experience with me. I first went on holiday when I was three months old and have been at least once a year since then, so in some respects I'm quite lucky.

Benidorm is one of my all time favourite places to go because not only is it a great tourist attraction but it is also a wonderful place to see. People think it's just full of idiots like the ITV show but believe me when I say it really isn't. I have now been for potentially the last 7 or 8 years, and every hotel I've stayed in hadn't got a single fault I could point out. Clean bed sheets, fresh towels, and wifi on tap.

There are amazing pubs, the beach is delightful, the hotels are off the scale and the atmosphere is fantastic. 9 out of 10 people you walk past in the street are English, but that's what makes Benidorm so excellent.

Got all the essentials necessary; lots of bikinis, sun cream, sunglasses, shorts, and my new Tommy Hilfiger flip flops courtesy of my mothers trip to Miami. I'm sure I will be rambling on whilst I'm away, so keep an eye out for the updates whilst over in Sunny Spain.

Miami Beach

So, last week my parents flew off to Miami Beach, FL, USA. I'm actually quite jealous as this is only the second long holiday they have been on without me and I'm really missing them already. My boyfriend has moved in to my house for two weeks... and it is amazing! I literally enjoy every second of living with him (even though he leaves clothes, rubbish and pots everywhere!!)

I never thought I could pass as the domestic type but the more I think about it - the more I realise I can do this. I've been doing the washing, the ironing, the cleaning and the cooking and I honestly don't even mind doing it. Everyone claims that this is what women are for, but I'd like to see a man tidy a house as spotless as a women.

Seeing mum and dad enjoying themselves on their holibobs makes me so happy. And it has also gave me and Luke a chance to realise we can actually live together, and now he has a job, his next plan is definitely for is to get our own house - which I cannot wait for!! :D

I love him so much and he makes me smile from ear to ear every single day. Wouldn't change the past 6 and half months, even if I had the chance to.

Until the next post...

Depop

Depop

So i’ve recently decided that i no longer want half of the junk in my bedroom/wardrobe and i have used to junk wisely. I am selling it through the app, Depop, which is basically like Instagram i think with the added ‘buy’ button.

Basically, you can upload up to four photos of your item, write a description, link your PayPal account, put a price in and away you go - you wait for someone to purchase your things (or junk as you like to call it.) As they do say, one mans junk is another mans treasure, and they certainly are not wrong about that one.

Don’t get me wrong, Depop does have it’s downsides, like when people offer you £1 and your item is up for sale for £10, you are sat there thinking come on love don’t take the P**S!!

But anyway, it was a way to make me that extra bit of money and also to get rid of the junk that is stored in my bedroom for no apparent reason whatsoever.

Follow me on Depop and see if you want any of my useless junk - you may think it is treasure.

Until next time…

Love

Love can be a crazy thing and it can drive you insane. But when you know that your in love when every time you look at the one person, you feel butterflies in your stomach, warmth in your heart, and having a constant smile on your face. When you look down at your phone and just wish that that one special person had text you, and even though they haven’t, you just want to text them again and again and make them understand how special they are to you.

Time on this earth is precious, because we never know when that last day is going to be. We never know when we are going to take that last breathe or close our eyes for the very last time. So that’s why we have to spend every minute we have appreciating life, the people around us, the ones who care for us and love us, and let them know at every opportunity you can to just share what they mean to you.

I am in love with one boy, and he was my first love, my childhood sweetheart and i have battled so much to get him back in my life. Now he is mine, i want to tell the whole world that he is mine forever. We used to fall out over silly things, but we were only young. We have only been back together for a short while, but i feel like that we have been back together for years; and i wouldn't change one single second of it even if i had the chance to.

Luke Adam Carter, i will always love you, no matter what.

Car Insurance

Who will agree with me that car insurance is a pain in the backside? I’ve been driving for a year now (only just) and i’ve had to go through the whole shenanigans of renewing my car insurance. Some of the quotes you receive are bloody preposterous.

Baring in mind that i only have a one litre corsa, 2006 registered, some of the quotes you get back are more expensive than the actual car was in the first place. I dont understand how some companies actually gain any money and are still going with silly prices like that.

It seems weird looking back and thinking that i have been driving a year, I’m 19 in 2 months and even that hasn’t sunk in yet - and i have also been in my job a year next month, everything is just moving far too fast.

Any way enough of my ramblings, speak to you all soon.

Valentine's Day...

Hello lovely people. Today I have entered the world of blogging, and what better subject to start with first other than Valentine's Day :) Ive been with my boyfriend for three months now and he makes me the happiest girl in the world. We have our ups and downs, but let's face it everybody goes through it. So today he gave me some money to go and choose a Pandora ring that I wanted, and as he calls me his princess, I thought what better way to represent that than with the princess crown ring.

I think it literally is perfect and he absolutely adores it as much as I do. I also have another pandora ring that is a Black Spinel Bubble ring - which like the whole Pandora ring collection is absolutely wonderful.

Do you have a pandora ring? I'd love to see what beautiful rings you have as I want to keep buying them and I don't know which ones to choose as the variety is unbeatable.

For Valentine's Day we had a lovely romantic day, and it was so special to be treated like you're actually worth something to someone, because in the past things haven't always gone to plan (which most of you can relate to I reckon.) We had a morning in bed, I went to get us a bacon sandwich and we had cuddles all morning; after that we got ready and went for a gorgeous meal. The Cherry Tree Farm at Toyota Island is derby is absolutely outstanding for food. For less than £20 we got two drink and two meals - that was definitely a bargain seeing as though Luke was paying hehe. After that we went home, watched films all afternoon and evening and just spending quality time with each other was amazing. I wouldn't of chosen anyone else to spend the day with.

Who is she?

You’re probably reading this thinking - who the hell is she? So i’ll introduce myself for you.

My name is Shelby Storm Norton and I was born in Derby in 1996. I have a wonderful family, the most adorable boyfriend and a brilliant job as a marketing assistant. I have bright ginger hair, many piercings and soon to be many tattoos too. I'm pretty much like Marmite, you either love me or you hate me - but i don't care which one you choose.

I fancied taking on a new challenge, and I thought been as I like to spend time on computers and i’m really in to social media, i would make a blog. I haven’t got a clue what my blog posts will feature, but i guess that’s what brings people back for more.

If you have any questions, please contact me on any social media sites, it’ll be great to get to know some of you bloggers out there.
